How we scope window & internal glass cleaning

Glass is the first thing a visitor notices and the first thing to show neglect. Internal partitions, entrance doors, shopfronts and balustrades carry handprints and dust continuously, which makes them a frequency item rather than an occasional one.

We scope glass by area and access level, and include frames, sills and tracks — the parts usually left out of a glass quotation and then complained about afterwards.

We work at accessible levels only. High-level or facade cleaning requiring rope access or specialist equipment is not part of our scope, and we say so rather than sub-contract it quietly.

Quality control

• • A written scope lists every area, task and frequency before work starts.
• • A named supervisor is responsible for the site and the visit records.
• • Completion notes record what was done, what was found and what needs attention.
• • Additional work is identified and quoted rather than absorbed silently.

Health and safety on site

• • Staff work in Broadway Affiliated uniforms and are briefed on the site rules before starting.
• • Wet floors, work zones and equipment areas are signed while cleaning is in progress.
• • Chemicals are used at the stated dilution, stored closed and kept away from public areas.
• • Site induction, access control and sign-in requirements are followed as the client sets them.
