Frequently asked questions
Transport, Cold Solutions, cleaning and grounds services, and careers — explained.
Contract transport
For employers, institutions and organisations placing transport under agreement.
- What is contract transport?
- Contract transport is an ongoing arrangement in which Broadway Affiliated dedicates vehicles, drivers, routes and schedules to your organisation under a written agreement, with agreed service levels, reporting and monthly invoicing.
- What is the minimum contract term?
- Terms range from a single project mobilisation to a 36-month service level agreement. Most workforce contracts run 12 to 36 months.
- How is a contract priced?
- Pricing is built per route, per shift pattern and per vehicle class — distance, headcount, operating window, standing time and site access conditions. Every quotation is itemised for procurement review.
- How soon can transport start?
- Standard mobilisation is 5 to 10 working days after a signed agreement. Urgent project mobilisation can be shortened where vehicles and vetted drivers are already available in the operating region.
- Are you compliant for tenders and procurement?
- Yes. Operating licences, roadworthy certification, driver vetting and PrDP records, passenger liability cover, tax clearance, BBBEE affidavit and CSD registration are available on request.
- How is a contract invoiced?
- Contracts are invoiced monthly against the agreed schedule, with a utilisation and performance report attached to each invoice.
Group transport
For organised groups that create a group, share the link and travel together.
- How does group transport work?
- An organiser creates the group, sets the pick-up and drop-off points and the number of passengers required. The join link is shared, members register, and Broadway Affiliated activates the group once the required number of passengers is reached.
- How many passengers do we need?
- A group is planned around the vehicle class allocated to it. The required number is set at creation and adjusts automatically as demand grows across your pick-up points.
- Can we have more than one pick-up point?
- Yes. Groups support multiple pick-up and drop-off points, each with its own passenger allocation.
- How do members track progress?
- Every member sees live progress towards activation on the group page — passengers registered, passengers still required and current activation status.
- Who can create a group?
- Workers, students, construction and security crews, church groups, sports teams, community organisers — any group travelling together on a repeating or planned journey.
Scheduled trips & booking information
For groups reserving places on our established intercity departures.
- How soon will my booking be confirmed?
- You receive an acknowledgement email immediately after submitting. Confirmation or rejection is communicated within 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on availability.
- Do I have to pay upfront?
- No. Scheduled trips require no upfront payment — you pay onboard by cash or card. Contract transport is invoiced monthly.
- Can I cancel a booking?
- Yes. Use the client portal or the booking-status lookup with your reference and the last 4 digits of the contact number used at booking.
- Can we be collected from our own address?
- Yes. Door-to-door pick-up is available; the distance from the nearest Broadway pick-up point is calculated and added as a surcharge at booking.
- Which areas do you serve?
- Nationwide across South Africa, with stronghold operations between Kimberley, Bloemfontein, Johannesburg and Pretoria. See our coverage pages for provinces, metros and suburbs.
Cold Solutions — coolers & fridges
Mobile cooler and mobile fridge hire for events, caterers, butcheries and food businesses in Gauteng.
- What does Cold Solutions hire out?
- Mobile coolers, mobile fridges and cold room trailers, plus cold transport for moving chilled and frozen stock. Each unit page lists capacity, temperature range, dimensions and power requirements.
- Which areas do you deliver to?
- Gauteng only. Delivery and collection are priced per zone across Johannesburg, Pretoria/Tshwane, Ekurhuleni and the West Rand — the coverage list for each zone is shown on the areas page.
- Are delivery and collection charged separately?
- Yes. A delivery fee and a collection fee apply per hire, based on the zone your address falls into. Both are shown before you submit a booking and again on your quotation.
- What hire periods are available?
- Daily and multi-day hire, plus full weekend hire with Friday delivery and Monday collection. Longer standing hire for businesses is quoted on application.
- Is a deposit required?
- A refundable deposit applies per unit and is confirmed on your quotation before payment.
- How do I book?
- Complete the Cold Solutions booking form. You receive a reference starting with BA-CS, then a written quotation to accept before delivery is scheduled.
Cleaning & grounds services
Commercial, industrial, event and exterior cleaning for businesses, facilities and organisations.
- What cleaning services do you provide?
- Commercial and office cleaning, industrial and warehouse cleaning, event cleaning, and exterior and grounds maintenance — for businesses, facilities, organisations and events.
- Do you clean private homes?
- No. Broadway Affiliated cleaning is a business-to-business service only. We do not offer domestic, household or individual cleaner bookings.
- How is a cleaning quote priced?
- Pricing is built from the area to be cleaned, the services selected, frequency, site conditions and travel. Where your requirement needs a site assessment first, the enquiry is marked Assessment Required and we arrange a walk-through.
- Can we put cleaning on a contract?
- Yes. Daily, weekly and monthly recurring contracts are available with a fixed schedule, an assigned team and monthly invoicing.
- Do you cover once-off and event cleaning?
- Yes — pre-event preparation, on-event support and post-event clean-up, including waste removal arranged on request.
- How long does a quote take?
- Enquiries are answered within one business day. Where a site assessment is required, the quotation follows the walk-through.
Careers & applications
For candidates applying to advertised Broadway Affiliated vacancies.
- How do I apply for a job?
- Applications are only accepted through the vacancies page, against a specific advertised position. The form closes when there are no open vacancies or once the closing date has passed.
- Which documents do I need?
- A CV, your ID or passport, and the qualifications, licences or PrDP listed on the advert you are applying for.
- Can I apply for the same job twice?
- No. Only one application per person per vacancy is accepted. You may apply for other open positions separately.
- How will I know the outcome?
- You receive a reference beginning BA- on submission, and we contact shortlisted candidates directly using the details on your application.
