Question 1

How do I book transport for my group?

Accepted Answer

Choose your journey on the home page: Contract Transport for a recurring service under agreement, or Group Transport to build a group around shared pick-up points. Complete the form, submit, and you receive a reference immediately.

Question 2

What is the minimum group size?

Accepted Answer

Scheduled and group passenger transport requires a minimum of 13 passengers. Contract transport requires a minimum of 13 passengers per route, because contracts are planned around a fixed roster and a dedicated vehicle class.

Question 3

What details do I need for a passenger group booking?

Accepted Answer

A passenger manifest is required: full name, contact number and next-of-kin contact for every passenger travelling. The booking can only be submitted once the manifest is complete for the full group.

Question 4

How soon is a booking confirmed?

Accepted Answer

You receive an acknowledgement email immediately. Confirmation or rejection follows within 30 minutes to 1 hour, once availability, vehicle and driver allocation are checked.

Question 5

Can I change or cancel a booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sign in to the client portal, or use the request-status lookup with your reference and the last 4 digits of the contact number used at booking. Changes and cancellations are accepted any time before departure.

Question 6

How does a group get activated?

Accepted Answer

The organiser creates the group, sets the pick-up and drop-off points and the passengers required at each point, then shares the join link. Members register against a point. Broadway Affiliated activates the group once the total required passengers are reached across all points.

Question 7

Do all pick-up points need to be full to create a group?

Accepted Answer

No. A group can be created and shared immediately. The required total simply adjusts as members join, and the group page shows live progress towards activation.

Question 8

How do members see progress?

Accepted Answer

Every member sees the same live progress on the group page — passengers registered, passengers still required, the percentage towards activation, and the current group status.

Question 9

What happens if a group never reaches its target?

Accepted Answer

The group stays open and unactivated, and no charge applies. The organiser can lower the target, add a pick-up point, or convert the demand into a contract or scheduled-trip booking with our team.

Question 10

Who can create a group?

Accepted Answer

Workers, students and scholars, construction and security crews, church groups, sports teams and community organisers — any group travelling together on a planned or repeating journey.

Question 11

How do I get a quotation?

Accepted Answer

Submit a Request a Quote form for the journey you need. The enquiry is routed to our account team, who return a written, itemised quotation covering routes, vehicle class, drivers, schedule and service level terms — suitable for procurement review.

Question 12

How quickly do quotations come back?

Accepted Answer

Quotation requests are answered within one business day. Urgent project mobilisations are prioritised where vehicles and vetted drivers are already available in the operating region.

Question 13

Is VAT included?

Accepted Answer

Quotations and invoices are issued with VAT shown as a separate, clearly marked line. Where VAT does not apply to your engagement it is excluded and the quotation states this explicitly.

Question 14

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

Scheduled group trips require no upfront payment — you pay onboard by cash or card. Contract transport is invoiced monthly against the agreed schedule, with a utilisation and performance report attached. Group bookings can be settled through a secure payment link issued to the organiser.

Question 15

What are the contract terms and invoicing cycle?

Accepted Answer

Terms run from a single once-off mobilisation to a 36-month service level agreement. Most workforce contracts run 12 to 36 months and are invoiced monthly in arrears.

Question 16

What is the difference between Passenger Transport and Contract Transport?

Accepted Answer

Passenger Transport is for groups — families, church parties, sports teams, tour groups and travelling parties booking seats together on one of our scheduled trips between Kimberley, Bloemfontein, Johannesburg and Pretoria. You choose a route and date, see live seat availability, and book seats for your group. Contract Transport is a long-term agreement where Broadway Affiliated runs a dedicated, recurring service for your business — staff shuttles, mine crew rotations, scholar runs, corporate routes — usually billed monthly under an SLA.

Question 17

How does the Group Passenger Transport booking flow work?

Accepted Answer

Open the online booking form, choose your service, route, date and pick-up and drop-off points, then capture your group size and contact details and submit. You receive a booking reference; pay your driver onboard by cash or card. You can cancel anytime before departure from the Manage Booking page.

Question 18

How does the Contract Transport booking flow work?

Accepted Answer

Pick Contract Transport in the search bar — instead of searching trips, you'll go straight to the Contract Quote form. Tell us the route, headcount, schedule and start date. Our account team reviews and returns a written proposal with pricing, vehicles, drivers and SLA terms. Once signed, the service runs on the agreed roster and is invoiced monthly.

Question 19

Can I book seats for just one or two people under a contract?

Accepted Answer

No. Contracts are for recurring business-level services with a fixed roster of passengers. For a small group or a once-off trip, choose Passenger Transport and book seats on a scheduled trip instead.

Question 20

Do I pay upfront for either option?

Accepted Answer

Passenger Transport: no upfront payment — pay your driver onboard by cash or card. Contract Transport: no upfront deposit to request a quote; once a contract is signed, services are invoiced monthly per the agreed terms.

Question 21

Which one is right for my school, mine, factory, or office?

Accepted Answer

If you need to move the same group of people on a repeating schedule (every shift, every school day, every Sunday service), choose Contract Transport. If your family, church, team or tour group needs a once-off or weekend trip on one of our scheduled routes, choose Passenger Transport.
