Plan school and learner transport responsibly
Parents and schools should agree on named collection points, authorised handovers and an emergency contact. Request the proposed operator's applicable operating licence, vehicle roadworthiness information and driver's Professional Driving Permit. Confirm seating, supervision and safeguarding arrangements rather than relying on a general promise of safe transport.
- School hours and approved collection points
- Learner numbers, ages and seat requirements
- Authorised handovers and emergency contacts
- Applicable operator, driver and vehicle documents
