Storage on site or a refrigerated delivery?
Unit hire provides temporary cold storage at your venue or business in Gauteng. Refrigerated transport moves suitable products between addresses across South Africa, subject to route availability and load suitability. Hiring a unit does not automatically include moving your stock. Use a transport quote request when the requirement is a collection and delivery journey.
Choose the unit using its published specifications
Check capacity, temperature range, dimensions and power requirements on the individual equipment page. Drinks storage, catering ingredients and butchery stock may need different arrangements. Do not assume every cooler or fridge can hold frozen products or achieve the same temperature. Ask for confirmation where specifications are missing, and explain packaging and loading needs before selecting a unit.
Prepare the delivery site and power
Provide the exact address, access restrictions and venue contact. Discuss stable positioning, the available electrical supply and a suitable connection before delivery. Do not assume a generator, extension lead or backup power is included. Agree responsibilities for power interruptions and stock monitoring with the booking team; do not rely on the unit to make warm stock safe or ignore your own food-handling requirements.
Understand the VAT-inclusive hire total
The unit hire total is daily rate × days × assets, plus the zone delivery and collection fees for each asset. VAT is already included, not added again. There is no cleaning fee. Use the current pricing page and confirm the final quotation for your dates, chosen units and delivery zone instead of relying on an old price or a weekly discount assumption.
Delivery, custody and collection
Broadway Affiliated delivers, positions and collects hired units. Customers may not collect, tow, transport or relocate them themselves. Arrange a responsible site contact and review the hire conditions, equipment safety and payment terms before accepting. Notify Broadway immediately if a problem occurs; the terms explain incident reporting and customer responsibilities.
Read hire terms and customer responsibilitiesWhat food businesses should include in a transport quote
Butcheries, producers, caterers, restaurants and retailers should provide product type, packaging, load weight or pallets, required temperature, dates and receiving hours. Include every stop and any loading restrictions. Owners and buyers can request once-off or recurring movements, but availability, handling suitability and documentation are confirmed for the specific enquiry.
