Contract Transport is a different product to our group passenger trips. It is a managed service: fixed routes, dedicated vehicles and drivers, measurable service levels and monthly reporting against an SLA your team signs off on.
Fixed rosters, route timing built around your shift change, and on-time arrival tracked per trip — so production starts with a full crew.
Operating licences, PrDP drivers, roadworthy fleet, passenger liability cover and vetting records — supplied as part of the contract file.
Consolidated monthly billing per cost centre or site, with trip logs and headcount reports your finance and BEE reporting teams can use.
A named account manager, escalation line and standby vehicles — not a call centre queue when a shift changes at short notice.
Representative contract scenarios from our operating regions — the problem the client brought us, and what the contract changed. Client names are withheld under contract confidentiality; references are available on request during a tender or vendor review.
The challenge: 220 workers arriving late on a 6am shift change because of unreliable owner-driver taxis and no fallback vehicle.
The outcome: Eight fixed routes with staggered pick-ups and two standby vehicles. On-time crew arrival moved from roughly 70% to 98% within the first two months, with zero shifts lost to transport.
The challenge: Night-shift staff refusing late finishes over safety concerns, and HR absorbing an unbudgeted travel-allowance spend.
The outcome: Door-area drop-offs on the 22:00 and 06:00 shifts under a 24-month SLA. Night-shift absenteeism dropped sharply and the travel allowance was replaced by one predictable monthly transport invoice.
The challenge: Ad-hoc quotes for every site visit and workshop, with procurement unable to forecast spend or verify compliance documents.
The outcome: A rate-carded standing contract covering site visits, workshops and delegate transfers, with compliance packs filed up front and per-trip reporting attached to each monthly claim.
“Our 6am shift starts full now. The routes were built around our shift change, not the other way round, and we get a report every month we can actually use.”
“Procurement signed it off quickly because every compliance document was in the proposal. One invoice a month instead of forty reimbursement claims.”
“When we added a second site mid-contract they had vehicles on the route the same week. That responsiveness is why we renewed.”
Pricing, SLAs, compliance and mobilisation. Looking for group passenger trips instead? See the passenger transport FAQs.
Contract pricing is built per route, not per seat. We cost the distance, vehicle class, headcount, number of daily trips and standby cover, then quote a fixed monthly rate per route or a rate card for variable work. Contracts of three months or longer are quoted at SLA-backed contract rates, invoiced monthly in arrears.
A typical SLA covers on-time arrival targets, replacement-vehicle response times, driver conduct and vetting standards, communication and escalation paths, incident reporting timelines and monthly reporting deliverables. We tailor the measures to what your operation is actually held to.
Company registration, tax and VAT details, BEE affidavit or certificate, operating licences, roadworthy certificates, driver PrDP and vetting records, passenger liability insurance and public liability cover. We supply the pack with the proposal so procurement can load you as a vendor without a second round of requests.
Yes. Multi-site contracts run under one agreement with per-site route schedules and per-cost-centre billing, so each site or department sees its own trips and spend on a single consolidated invoice.
Standard mobilisation is five to ten business days for route surveys, driver allocation, vehicle branding where required and a dry run. Urgent shift cover can start sooner using existing fleet capacity while the permanent roster is finalised.
Trip logs per route, headcount carried, on-time performance against the SLA target, incidents and corrective actions, and the invoice reconciled to those trips — issued to your named account manager's monthly report cycle.
Your named account manager, with a 24-hour operations line for same-day changes. Roster changes submitted before the daily cut-off take effect the next operating day.
